"It's my goal to capture and preserve these moments in their most authentic form. I offer a documentary approach to your wedding day. Although documenting the day is important, your wedding day is the most important. We do not redo moments, nor will we interrupt moments for a “better shot.” We may help curate elements of a scene, but we never interfere with actual moments."
"I resonate most with couples that see the significance of this moment in time, and call on quality storytellers to be part of their day. I don’t really offer recap videos, think of it more like a mini documentary about this season of life."
My entire process is built with the intention of getting to know you better so that in the edit, I am informed by your story, personality and context of the wedding day. I spend a lot of time before the day getting to know each couple.

From the very first call, Hudson is committed to having a comfortable sense of the stories, personalities and context going into a wedding day. This requires intentional questions and providing space to listen and begin shaping an understanding of your story.
On the actual wedding day, the most important thing to Hudson is ensuring that the couple experiences their wedding day in its most authentic form. There's no direction or fabrication of filmmaking on the wedding day - it's honest documentation.
An understanding of the story, context, personalities at hand plus an unobtrusive and authentic collecting of video and audio assets come together in the edit as a new, honest and impactful wedding film that families can hold onto for generations.

The wedding day is packed with planned moments. The intention with the Engagement Shoot is to capture the unplanned thoughts and feelings going into the wedding day. This allows me to create a film that is more centered on your love story and not completely centered on the wedding day.

my process
01. Aligning Vision
Before any prices are discussed, it's imperative that we see eye-to-eye on the importance of a wedding film, the role of a wedding filmmaker and that ultimately we are a good fit for each other.
02. Custom Proposal
Once we both feel like we are a good fit for each other, we may begin to walk through popular proposals we have pre-made for couples in the past. We will walk you through what each of them mean and give you some time to consider what best fits your budget and vision.
03. Finalizing Proposals
After you have a chance to talk through the right investment for you, we'll send over a contract to sign and an invoice where you may complete the retainer payment. Once everyone signs on, then it's official!
04. Planning Call(s)
Now that we are officially booked, we'll reach out to set up between 2-4 calls before the wedding day. The amount of calls depends on the package type and if there are any extra details involved (international wedding, multi-day coverage, etc)
05. Story Call
No matter which package you get, we always will create time for you two to share your story. This call can take anywhere from 45 minutes to 2 hours. I'll ask some intentional questions about your relationship, career, life experience and it's really just a time for us to connect.
06. Wedding Prep Call
Similar to the story call, no matter what package you get we always will have a meeting designated to talking through wedding details. On this call we'll talk through all the details needed so that on the wedding day won't have to intrude unless absolutely necessary.
07. Wedding Film Delivery
Once your wedding film is completed, I'll send over a Vidflow gallery where you can view, download and share every deliverable. It's not listed in the contract, however I always am willing to do a round or two of revisions if necessary. Even though my job is done, don't hesitate to reach out if there's anything we can do for you - or if you just want to catch up. Honestly some clients in the past have grown to be dear friends of ours.
When do we get our video?
It ranges between 2-4 months from the wedding day, depending on the package. I personally edit each and every wedding. From start to finish I put a lot of care into organizing, selecting and putting together a video that tells your story, feels true while remaining timeless.
Do you have a drone?
Yes, I include drone footage in every package as long as the weather and airspace allow me!
How long do you keep the footage?
The moment the wedding is done, I ensure that there are 3 copies of all the assets collected on the wedding day. After I deliver the edited videos, I hold onto the raw footage for 30 days. I'll preserve the edited videos for as long as I can, however I can't guarantee access to it after 30 days. I'll be sure to communicate that to you again once I send the gallery.
